Field Trips
Field trips are planned to enrich educational experience and are integrated with curricular areas of classroom study. When a student is enrolled at Casa Blanca Community School, a Field Trip Permission Slip is signed by the parents/guardians and put in the student’s folder. This authorizes permission to participate in any school field trip. Parents/guardians will receive advance written notification of all scheduled field trips involving their child. It is the responsibility of the parents/guardians to contact the school if they do not wish their child to participate. Parents/guardians are welcome to attend field trips. No younger children will be allowed on field trips. While field trips are educationally beneficial, they are also a privilege. If a student’s record indicates any reason why he/she should not go on the field trip, the school reserves the right to deny the student to attend the trip. If a student is not attending a field trip for any reason, he/she is expected to report to school and he/she will be supervised at school. All disciplinary school rules, including appropriate behavioral expectations, apply to field trips. Inappropriate behavior on a field trip may result in the loss of future field trip privileges.
