We are excited to announce that Native American Recognition Days (NARD) will be returning this year! Last year, NARD was combined with Grandparents Day, but this year, we are bringing back this special celebration to honor culture, language, and student learning. Please see the NARD letter to families for more information.
Take the first step in Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, join us for a one-mile walk/run on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at the District 3 Mul-Chu-Tha Fairgrounds from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Registration will be onsite. Participate to receive a t-shirt.
Another activity provided is in-person education on September 3, 8, and 18 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Topics include:
- September 3: Stress and Self-Care - District 1 Service Center
- September 8: Meth Awareness - District 5 Service Center
- September 18: QPR Suicide Prevention - District 7 Service Center

The fourth edition of Active Parenting classes is in September. Each class encourages discussion about the important tool parents use to parent their child(ren). The classes are online from 9:00 a.m. to noon.
- Thursday, September 4, and Friday, September 5: Active Parenting (0–5 years)
- Monday, September 15, and Tuesday, September 16: Active Parenting General
Please see the Active Parenting flyer for more information and a QR code to register. Active Parenting trainings are six hours, and certificates will be given upon completion of the class. Gila River Health Care BHS Prevention Program, in collaboration with Huhugam Heritage Center, presents two unique events centered around culture as a strategy for substance use prevention.

District Six Recreation and Behavioral Health Services presents Yes to Life Glow in the Dark Bingo on Tuesday, September 23, at the District Six Learning Center on 5230 W St. Johns Road from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Join us in raising awareness for suicide prevention and mental health. Join us for Bracelet-Making Family Night! The family fun will be on Monday, September 8, at the District 1 Service Center and Thursday, September 25, at the District 4 Multipurpose Building from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Get creative, get informed; bracelet making with a purpose! Food, education, and Narcan.
Join us on Thursday, September 25, to recognize Suicide Prevention Awareness Month as we make tie-dye items. The 2025–2026 school year is right around the corner! Please join us for our meet the teacher night on Thursday, July 24 from 3:30 to 7:00 p.m. Meet your teacher, take a tour of the school campus, and pick up your school uniforms. The first day of school is on Monday, July 28. We will have breakfast, general classes, lunch, recess, and specials. Please see our back-to school information flyer for more information.
Casa Blanca Community School (CBCS) is now open for registration for the 2025–2026 school year. The first day of school is on July 28, 2025. Special classes offered include culture class, traditional song and dance class, art and musics class, PE class, and agriculture class. CBCS is providing every enrolled student with two sets of school uniforms. Pick up will be available at meet the teacher night on July 24, 2025, from 3:30 to 7:00 p.m. Additional school uniforms will be available for purchase for your student in the front office.
Our benefits are specials classes, GRIC health class, and a friendly environment. Limited seats are available, so enroll now!
